I attended a baby shower recently for my friend Abby, who's having a girl. As she proclaimed that she already had everything, we had to use our creative juices to come up with a gift for her. We decided to surf her Pinterest boards and sew some of the projects she had pinned, for her little girl. Everything was put into a basket with the tag "You pinned it, we made it, we hope Cleo enjoys it!"

We made a couple other items-the anywhere chair and the door muff....Pinterest, have I ever told you how much I love you!?!?!?!
Oh my goodness, I'd seen your pics on fb, but what a flippin' fantastic idea to have the pinterest theme!! I may not sew, but there are other things I can do...I am so on this for my next shower! Thanks! (And seriously, don't our old ways of sharing ideas seem so archaic now? And by old, I mean before last year! LOL)
ReplyDeleteJust saw your comment. People are still talking about the gift, over a month later. I had no idea it would be such a hit. And I totally agree with how archaic our "old ways" were, lol. Part of me doesn't even want to blog anymore about crafting because we have Pinterest and Facebook. But more and more I'm finding broken links, etc. to instructions so I may just post them still, so I am sure the instructions are there for me in the future. You'll have to let me know how the baby shower gift goes over!!
